The rules for maintaining the rolling stock Database

1. General provisions.

1.1. Data on rolling stock are informal and are based on personal observations of users.

1.2. The addition of new rolling stock units to the Database may take place by any registered users.

1.3. The rolling stock database is maintained by editors.

1.4. Editors are appointed by the website administration. Applications for the status of an editor are accepted only by e-mail.

1.5. The website administration is not responsible for information on rolling stock, which is posted on the website.

2. Requirements from users.

2.1. Before adding any information about rolling stock, carefully check its credibility.

2.2. When adding new rolling stock units, carefully check the list of rolling stock to avoid duplication of existing entries.

2.3. While completing the form, follow paragraph 4 of these Regulations.

2.4. In case of systematic introduction of untruthful or incorrect information about rolling stock, violation of these Rules and other activities, harmful information and accuracy of the service, user's account may be blocked.

3. Editorial duties.

3.1. After the assignment, the correctness of the data should be checked (within the scope of its competence).

3.2. If necessary, add your corrections and additions.

3.3. Attach known rolling stock changes to the site (within its competence).

3.4. Control the information on rolling stock provided by users.

3.5. While completing the form, follow paragraph 4 of these Regulations. Templates can be downloaded here.

3.6. In the event of providing untrue or incorrect information about rolling stock, deleting real data in the previously specified rolling stock and other activities, harmful information and accuracy of the service, as well as violation of other provisions contained in these Rules, the editor may be deprived of his rights. In the case of gross violations, deprivation of editing rights takes place without prior notice.

4. The rules for completing the form.

Step 1. The «Name» field. Enter the rolling stock unit in the "Name" field. The name must contain the official (according to documents) model and number of rolling stock and registered, in accordance with generally accepted rules (eg, ВЛ11-003; ЭР2К-949, ДГку-1464, etc.). If the model or vehicle number is unknown, the name is allowed, which consists only of the model or only from the number (including the corporate number or locomotive identification number, etc.). If the model and number are unknown, write "б/н||b/n ". Deleted vehicles, which have an unidentified on-board and factory number (sarai, locomotive garages, etc.) to determine the data to the Base should not enter. Step 2. In the case of adding a new rolling stock unit, after switching to the extended form of edition of the data BASE, pay attention to the list of entries. If the title rolling stock is there, it is worth to stop filling the form. If the purpose of the author of the edition is to change the information about the rolling stock, go to the relevant entry. If the edit involves changing eg transfer to another locomotive, the new entry should not be created (this will be done by the editor) - just enter a new note in the "Remarks" field or in the "Information" field.

Step 3. Field "Railway District / Дорога приписки". Choose from an existing list of circles. If the circle is not known, select "Other / Прочее". For industrial rolling stock, a railway district should be selected in accordance with the geographical location of the undertaking. The field "Railway District / Дорога приписки" is mandatory to be completed.

Step 4. "Depot/Депо" field. Select from the pull-down menu a railway line matching the rolling stock or company. If the locomotive is unknown, select "Other/Прочее". If you do not know the name of the industrial/private enterprise / specialized rolling stock, select "Locomotives of industrial transport / Локомотивы промышленного транспорта", or "Service locomotive/Служебные", or "Other / Прочее". If the name of the enterprise depot is known, but it is not on the list, select "Locomotives of industrial transport/Локомотивы промышленного транспорта", or "Service locomotive / Служебные" or "Other/Прочее" and enter the exact name in the field "Note/Примечание" . The "Depot/Депо" field is mandatory to be completed.

Step 5. Field "Series / Серия". Select the rolling stock model from the drop-down menu. If the desired model is not on the list, select "None on the list / Нет в списке" and enter it in the "Note / Примечание" field. If the model is not known, select "Model is not known / Модель не известна". The field "Series / Серия" is mandatory to be completed.

Step 6. "Current condition" field. Select the vehicle status from the drop-down menu at the moment:

"Working"- the vehicle is regularly at work as intended.

"New (not in regular operation)"- it has not been used since its construction.

"Do not work" - The VEHICLE has not been in regular operation for a long time (due to a serious breakdown or due to technical reasons) The rolling stock has not been used as intended for more than one year since its construction.

" Written off"- railway rolling stock is officially deleted and/or disposed of (the last number should be provided, which was until the deletion).

"The current location and condition is unknown"- information about the location and condition of the VEHICLE, which is no more than 50 years old and no more than 5 years old (if there is no more than 5 years information about the VEHICLE over 50 years old, set the status" Deleted ") (the last number should be given, which was until the deletion) .

"Moved to another depot and railway districts"- VEHICLE is transferred to other depots from the same railway area; change of the locomotive number has occurred (the number should be given, which was until the change).

"Modernization"- the name of the locomotive was changed during the repair / modernization (should be given the number that the VEHICLE wore before the change).

"Passed to another depot of the railway"- VEHICLE was transferred to other depots of other railways (give the number that was to be transferred).

"Monument/Museum exhibit/Trainer"- rolling stock is out of service and is a museum exhibit, monument or is used as exercise equipment.

The "Current condition" field is mandatory to be completed.

Step 7. "Built" field. Specify the date of construction of the locomotive in the format "mm yyyy" (for example, 08 2013). The "Built" field is not required, but leave blank is not recommended.

Step 8. "Deleted" field. Specify the date when the vehicle was officially stamped in the format "mm yyyy" (for example, 08 2013) - only if the VEHICLE is deleted after documents or recycled. The "Deleted" field is not required.

Step 9. "Note" field. If necessary, add a short information about key CT functions in the "Note" field using the spelling and computerized word composition rules. For example: the last СМЕ (by a fraction character and no spaces); the last hybrid (by a fraction sign and no spaces); exclusive status; number (index) of the locomotive (in the case of cancellation of other parts); informal indicator, not included in the model name; the official name of the industrial / private enterprise / specialized rolling stock (except when it is the name included in the "Depot" menu). Examples of entries: СМЕ ВЛ11-004/007А; 2ТЭ10У-0213А/0214Б; Путеец; Служебная электромотриса; Секция А; ВЛ8М; ВЛ10П; ОАО «Челябинский металлургический комбинат»; Иркутская ДЖД. The "Note" field is not required.

Step 10. "Information" field. If necessary, add more information about the rolling stock in the "Information" field using the spelling and computerized text composition rules. For example: checking the manufacturer; name; information about name change; information on the substitution of terms; factory type; serial number, locomotive identification number (8-code); vehicle history in the "data - event, new chain, date - event" diagram; vehicle composition; service areas; informational links.
