This was the only one we saw in these colours on the DC lines, it's refurbished inside with chargers and new seats. From what I can gather it's operating the fast regional services.

Yes French is the most common. Back when I was at school we started with French and then were introduced to German if clever enough.

Haha this made me laugh)) As we say I speak the King's English! I actually learnt French and German at school to a pathetic level of being able to count, say my name and at a push where I live... Our education system when it comes to foreign languages is considerably lacking.

VL11M-031 in new UZ colours trails on the back of a rake headed towards Volovets. The loco would return half an hour later in the opposite direction.

Vadikano, I've added it)) I enjoyed a brief visit to Muckachevo and saw the depot with some Chs2's, VL11M6s and a VL82 parked there.

Ahh I understand, yes it is on the wrong track. Most of the trains we saw operated on the "wrong line", not sure why.

On the Transcarpathian line VL11's seem to be used a reasonable amount on passenger trains now. Each day we saw this train it had a VL11M in charge.

This was one of two TE33AS locos we saw working a passenger train, the other was arriving from the east, presumably with a train from the North West. Two 33's were also parked on the depot during the afternoon.
