A bit late with this but oh well)

Welsh is not spoken by everyone in Wales (A country not a region) however it is much more common in the Northern parts of the country. An example of how it's used is on road signs and markings. It's a lovely country and I recommend a visiting. They have some very interesting railways such as narrow gauge steam)

Do they need the speed of a BS though? At least a M62UM can be used for freight as well.

Yes what you are saying makes sense. Just in the UK we have a special class for such train separate from EMU for some reason haha. I am not the expert on all of these new types of trains as they aren't so interesting)).

They would be classed as Bi-mode multiple units or (BMU) if I remember correctly. You can also get trains that are Electric overhead and battery powered which would come under the same category.

I believe out to the west of Baku. I didn't see any AC locos within 20km of Baku.

Mikhail, I'm not the expert but when I was there last year all of the lines around Baku and towards Russia were DC.
