DB Cargo's (UK) 66005 "Maritime Intermodal One" is one of 7 DB 66's in Maritime livery for partnership with Maritime Transport, making a very nice matching rake. Here it works 4R49 0815 Drax Power Station to Immingham Biomass Lp, a rake of empty biomass wagons wagons bound for filling with more woodchip biomass, a greener alternative to coal (apparently). The loaded working with run with a 6XXX headcode meaning it can travel up to 60MPH, whereas the 4 in 4R49 means up to 75MPH, due to brakeforce and train weight. The R is in regards to to region of the train and the two following numbers are unique.

No there is a raised bit of ground that gives you 1-2 meters extra height. I try to stay out of trees as I've fallen out before))

Apart from me and a few others who enjoy Continental Europe and the 1520mm lands)) Sadly the UK has a heavy bias of Class 66's

Apparently the locomotive has received work on it by Loram so I imagine it shouldn't look it's age inside.

Sadly all trains in the UK had to have it as a safety feature. Now it's not required if the train is fitted with LED lights.

This is exactly where the loco was heading, it was parked there last night))

This was a few years ago with DRS 37s and MK2 coaches, sadly these services are operated by Stadler BiMode units.

This loco has done a lot of work with the saloon coach recently but they will also use it on infrastructure trains. Nothing too extreme given it's age but it's earning its keep.

Passing the footbridge at Priory Park Loram's newly painted 37418 gets underway with 2Z04 Peterborough - York. The driving coach behind is called "Caroline" and is used as a directors saloon for various managers on the railway to get around for special events etc. More can be read here on this interesting coach - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/975025_Caroline

Thank you! Sadly so far there haven't been any class 70's on trains down this line, if one will run I shall go and get a photo of it! I have a couple of photos with class 70's on my profile though.

Freightliner 66413 in their orange livery with an engineering train of used ballast. This week the line between Beverley and Scarborough has no passenger traffic so work can be carried out. This was one of 4 ballast trains which travelled the line to Doncaster.

Very nice photo! I hope you had a good trip to the UK. Visa and travel wise for Russians to the UK it pains me to say it's not easy at all, the visa process can be really slow as well (In my wife's case it took months).
Anyone visiting the UK is always welcome to ask me for help if needed)).

l.smm34, agreed. I am glad to have seen the new coloured locomotives but nothing beats the greens and blues of the old schemes.
