Finding a decent spot to take photos near Astana proved to be quite difficult if you don't want to travel far out of the city. However in the late afternoon/evening on a sunny day this spot where the freight lines both head north west out of the city proved to be a good easy option.

795 это ОП в сторону Атбасара.Там останавливаются электрички на Атбасар и Жалтыр и поезд на Аркалык

It's on the stretch, it's not at Astana Station. I put Astana station - 795KM.
