On the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, a preserved Railway in the North of England, 5428 Eric Tracy operates the 1T15 Whitby - Pickering service past Moorgates.
The train runs for 24 miles from the North Yorkshire coast, along the Whitby to Grosmont line which is owned and operated by the Network Rail, before traveling the 18 miles to Pickering along the NYMR. Because the NYMR is a "preserved line", it see's only tourist trains, mostly hauled by steam locomotives, as well as some heritage diesels and operates services 7 days a week, 8-9 months of the year for tourists to enjoy. This is one of many such railways in the Uk.
