Great scene!

Autumn is here according to the railways with the start of the RHTT season across the UK. This is where special trains of top and tailed wagons travel around the network blasting high pressure sandite solution on the railhead. The aim of this? To improve adhesion so traction isn't affected as much. Otherwise trains will slide through stations and cause chaos))
Here 37425 crosses Knaresborough Viaduct, over the river Nidd working 3S29 York Thrall Europa to York Thrall Europa. The loco is repainted into Regional Railways colours, a variation of British Rail for, you guessed it, regional train services.

There is always a hope on a single track line that once a train passes in one direction, something will pass going the other way, this came true on this occasion! About 20-30 minutes after https://railgallery.ru/photo/225179/ had passed, smoke could be seen on the horizon and UzTE16M3-032 slowly came into view. The train crew were friendly and seemed very happy to have their photo taken)) Uzbek's have to be some of the most welcoming people I've ever met!

Awesome! There is something special about hearing a heavy diesel approach through the fog.

After a morning exploring the lovely Baku (the city impressed me a lot!) we headed out to catch some trains. Traffic was slow with only two short freights, an ER2 and a light engine AZ4A being caught in 4 hours or so.

I arrived in Angren from Tashkent by train, then we took to hitchhiking from the city to the photo locations. Time was money so on this occasion we offered some money and a guy happily took us. We found a well placed tree to sit under and waited in the stunning landscape for some trains.

The second train of the day saw 2O'ZELR-0410 lead a tank train along Akhangaran Reservoir in the direction of Kul. I was quite pleased to see a Zhiguli parked up giving a nice contrast to Uzbekistan's Soviet past. It definitely has more style than the loco!

Dolní Loučky located on the Brno - Kolin line hosts an impressive viaduct "Most Míru" and is a common photo location for Laminatka's. However during the morning Moravská železniki's 721 555 made an interesting change. Seen here hauling a 770, a coach and an overhead wire inspection vehicle downhill in the Brno direction.

With a day in Denmark, no sleep for 30 hours at this point and a meetup with a local friend it had the ingredients for a good day, one thing was missing. A photo of an EG! EG 3108 made this a reality with a mxied freight from Malmo (S) - Maschen (DE). These locomotives from the Siemens/ Krauss-Maffei Eurosprinter are unique with their CoCo wheel arangement so that they can manage the gradients on the Germany - Sweden corridor.
