170532 is leaving Barrow Haven station and heads towards it's final stop of Barton whilst working 2F89 1256 Cleethorpes to Barton-on-Humber. Every two hours a service runs down this quiet line, which once went all the way around to Scunthorpe.
Unfortunately the clouds decided to be awkward (as is often the case in the UK) and left Hull at the far side of the River Humber, and the river itself in sun, and the Lincolnshire side in shadow.
Barrow Haven consists of a few hours, moorings for some small boats and a timber yard which can see a small ship dock from time to time.

A loaded iron ore train bound for Scunthorpe steelworks passes Wrawby Junction singalbox before taking the curve onto the Barnetby - Scunthorpe line.

DB Cargo's (UK) 66005 "Maritime Intermodal One" is one of 7 DB 66's in Maritime livery for partnership with Maritime Transport, making a very nice matching rake. Here it works 4R49 0815 Drax Power Station to Immingham Biomass Lp, a rake of empty biomass wagons wagons bound for filling with more woodchip biomass, a greener alternative to coal (apparently). The loaded working with run with a 6XXX headcode meaning it can travel up to 60MPH, whereas the 4 in 4R49 means up to 75MPH, due to brakeforce and train weight. The R is in regards to to region of the train and the two following numbers are unique.

Тут ответ прост - дать возможность "владельцам заводов-пароходов" выпускать новые "коробки", пополняя мошну, как свою, так и расплодившихся госструктур и "примазавшихся" к ним...

В России подобное могло бы быть только в случае полноценной приватизации и либерализации рынка тяги, чего так и не произошло (насколько сама по себе такая идея в принципе реализуема у нас — вопрос дискуссионный).
