| В 1963 году пионерской дружине средней школы №20 было присвоено имя героя Советского Союза Константина Сергеевича Заслонова (который родился в Вяземской). О собранном металлоломе школа рапортовала ЦК ВЛКСМ и выразила просьбу о строительстве маневрового тепловоза, который бы работал на станции Вяземская ДВЖД. В школьном музее хранятся документы Управления Дальневосточной железной дороги «О строительстве тепловоза «Заслоновец школы №20» и передаче его локомотивному депо ст. Вяземская».
