After talking with a crossing keeper and then some station workers we found out the train should run at 13:00 through Sevan heading to Sotk give or take 20 minutes. Good to hear it's still running, even if a bit later! We had a chat about UK and Armenian railways. They were surprised to hear that we only have one driver in the cab and the speed of our railways. It was really nice to hear how long the guys had worked there and about traffic during Soviet times and the years that followed. Even trains to Turkey!

We headed to a place where the sun should be alright and waited, and waited with apprehension whether the train would turn up. After seeing some confused locals and sitting next to a pile of manure a whistle was heard! Excitement followed and then there it was, the first train in Armenia of the trip slowly making its way along the valley. Wonderful!
