It similar to a bus stop that only stops for ordinary or commuter train. This type of passenger stop has a lower rank than a normal station. There is no station master. When buying a ticket, you have to go on the train first and buy from train conductor.

Yes, but in Russian there's a difference. With regard to railroad, the "Stop" term is equal to "Stop point" (остановочный пункт), or "Platform ... (name)" for local trains. For buses and streetcars it calls "Stop" ("остановка"). A language feature...
