29.11.1935 открывал движение по участку Кандалакша — Апатиты — Кировск.
Провёл по участку первый грузовой и курьерский поезда на электротяге под управлением машиниста А. Д. Кулигина.

Установлен памятником у входа в депо Кандалакша как первенец Заполярного электровозного движения.
2019 г. — восстановлена одна из кабин.
