The second full day in Mongolia for us had a good forecast so we headed to Khonhor to a wonderful curve to spend the day catching trains twisting and turning through the landscape. The first train seen in the spot was an early numbered 2TE25KM coasting down the curve with a coal train, headed for Ulaanbaatar power stations. The loco crew were happy to greet us!

To this place I went by Bus XO 5 from the east side of Ulaanbaatar (Stop near Tenger Plaza). It runs on the main road then you just walk 3-4km to the spot. Other days I hitchhiked, feel free to message me if you ever need directions)
