Hakodate Shinkansen Hakodate Shinkansen (Hokkaido Shinkansen) Shinkansen high-speed train line connecting Tokyo and Shin-Hakodate Station (in Russian, Hakodate-High-Speed)
One of the most difficult sections is the Seikan Tunnel. Connecting main Japan (Honshu Island) and Hokkaido Island. Its length is 53.85 kilometers. The line comes through the settlements: Shin-Aomori, Okutsugaru-Imabetsu, Kikonai, Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto.
The main rolling stock on the line are Shinkansen H5.
The line is currently being extended to the main city of the island, Sapporo.
