Модернизированный тепловоз. Мощность дизеля повышена до 1500 л.с., установлен реостатный тормоз, перепроектированы кузов и тележки. Локомотив не пошёл в серию, но его элементы были использованы в серии ЧМЭ3Т. Построено 2 тепловоза (1977 г.).
