They really are quite a smart train, however personally I find the GWR ones look quite boring in the Green livery.

As for the seats many Brits have complained that they aren't comfy enough for long distance journeys, which I think I agree with.

As for the IoW stock, I think that will also carry on for longer due to unavailability of the new trains but that might just be a rumour, but we can hope.

I'm not too sure about the GWR ones. The Northern 142s are continuing till the end of 2020 :)))

Ahhh I see, thank you for explaining to me))
I agree that they look like a smaller version)

> Northern Rail Class 144 006 works from Doncaster - Beverley with a stopping service. The unit would then work a two stop service back from Beverley to Hull.
> These units are now in storage during the Covid - 19 crisis due to less services running.
> Rather unusually the unit has 2 axles per coach rather than a "bogie" giving them a reputation for being a rough ride.

How do you think, is there a chance that Pacers keep runing until the end of 2020 (at least anywhere)? I've read that due to Class 769 delay, the cascading of Pacers on GWR will be delayed as well, but everything changes fast now.

Cool vehicle, I've really enjoyed rides on the GWR. Quick and silent, for the first time it took me half an hour after Reading to realize that the electrification is gone. I didn't even know at the time that those are bi-mode.

A single issue - I was surprised that the seats couldn't be adjusted.

It pretty much is. They are made from bus parts as what at the time was called a "cheap stopgap". I'll post a photo of a class 142 which is even more like a bus.
