Not the best photo due to poor weather and also me rushing taking it due to the security quickly walking down the platform towards me (seen in the right of the photo).
Here E68 048 waits to depart with a train from Istanbul Halkali to Kapikule. The E68000's are built in Turkey however the first few were built in Korea by Hyundai Rotem with the other 72 built by TÜLOMSAŞ.

Yes most of the freight goes via a different line. This line is too busy with passenger trains for a lot of regular freight.

I.e. a freight train is a rarity in this place?

Looking quite small on Longwood Viaduct, Freightliner Class 70 017 leads 4 container flat wagons from Hunslet Yard in Leeds to Crewe's Basford Hall. This move is to transfer wagons that have undergone work or that have been stored to Crewe where they will be added into intermodal rakes for Freightliners container flows. This is the first time i've seen a 70 on the Huddersfield line so it was worth going out for as they are quite uncommon now with most being stored. (They were built 2008 onwards so not good that they are stored).

Longwood Viaduct situated on the main Trans Pennine route was built in the 1800s still carries a lot of passenger traffic as well as the occasional freight.

Thank you, Cap!
I wrote the Junction means single switch point on the railway line in Russia usually. It is the contrast with the station, which has a track development.(Sorry for my bad English.)

I think it's been good explained above but I'd best describe it as where 2 or more tracks join or 2 or more tracks split. Most junctions in the UK have names regarding usually to the area they are in. These will show up in the train schedule usually.

"Junction" это "пост" по-русски. Место разветвления линий.

What "Junction" means in the BR? Is it single switch point on the railway line?

Thank you!
I think to the left it's water treatment of some sort but I am not 100%. On the right it is a Bed sheet making factory as well as some sort of coal storage.

Excellent, Richard! And What are the buildings on both sides of the train at the back?

Catching some sunlight, GBRF 60095 works 6E10 Liverpool Biomass Tml Gbf to Drax Aes. This train has around 25 loaded wagons with Biomass for Drax Power Station (about 2500 tons).
This loco was the first of the 10 Class 60's that GBRF got from Colas to be painted up into GBRF livery and it was the first time I have seen it so it was a welcome sight. Most of the other 60's still remain in Colas colours.
Freight over the Pennines takes the line via Todmorden and Brighouse rather than the shorter line via Huddersfield due to the high number of passenger trains which traverse the Manchester - Huddersfield - Leeds line. The only section of line where these freight cross over the buisier line is at Mirfield, often meaning freight gets held to wait for a path through the busy 3 track section. The train in the photo was nearly at a standstill at the time of taking the photo.

Little note about the powerful sky in the background - some areas of West Yorkshire saw extreme amounts of hail fall causing some areas to look as if snow had fallen. - https://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/n...-storm/

I wanted to show the valley and the junction more, the train itself isn't very interesting.
