A question re. nationalization of Northern earlier this year and LNER introduced in 2018.

Is it some kind of trend that TOCs are failing one-by-one with their franchises being terminated, or this is just a coincidence?

Here in true British weather is a Class 195 unit arriving into Mauldeth Road, with a service from Manchester Airport to Barrow in Furness.
These units which have only recently entered traffic with Northern are for regional "Northern Connect" routes and come in 2 and 3 car formations. These will often be coupled to form 4, 5 and 6 car formations when required. So far there is 58 units built in Spain and Wales.

Thank you! The landscape is so lovely around here, sadly still less trains run due to Corona.

TransPennine Express 802 212 is seen rounding the curve into the Village of Marsden in West Yorkshire, the last village before the train will enter the 5.1KM long Standedge Tunnel which takes the railway line under the Pennine hills seen in the background of the photo. Once the train exits the tunnel, it will be in Lancashire as it heads towards Manchester.
The class 802's which have recently entered service for TransPennine are BiMode units which between Newcastle - York run on electric overheads, then switch to the diesel engines to work through to Manchester on the un-electrified TransPennine line.

Virgin Trains East Coast (at the time) Class 91 109 "Sir Bobby Robson" waits on Platform 5 at York station, under the impressive station roof whilst working a service from Kings Cross station in London to Newcastle.
These locomotives work in a push - pull formation with MK4 coaches, with a DVT (Driving Van Trailer) up and down the ECML up to speeds of 125MPH (200kph). Until recently 31 of these locomotives operated, until the introduction of the Azuma units (class 800, 801 and 802). However 10 still remain in service, for now anyway.

А почему бы, на сайтах семейства СТТС, не сделать, как на Facebook, т.е. каждый автор пишет на своем родном языке, а кому надо, под комментарием нажимает - показать перевод?
